We can offer a range of experience and activities within Thailand. Tours of this type give students the opportunity to visit Bangkok, the ancient cities of Ayuttaya and Sukhothai, the northern provinces of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, as well as the beaches and islands of the south. Programmes can be tailor-made to suit the needs of the individual schools and of course will take into account time available as well as budget.
However a few typical programme could look like this. However, we are able to mix and match to provide the best option for visiting schools.
Day 1 BANGKOK
Upon arrival, meet your coach and transfer to your accommodation.
Day 2 BANGKOK
After breakfast, make your way to Ko Ratanakosin and spend the morning exploring the Royal Palace complex. See the Emerald Buddha in Wat Phra Kaew. Walk to nearby Wat Pho and visit the 46m long Reclining Buddha. This afternoon, enjoy a ferry ride on the Mae Nam Chao Phraya for a different perspective of the city. Return to your accommodation for dinner.
Day 3 BANGKOK
This morning, learn the basics of Thai cooking with a local chef. Enjoy your creations for lunch! This afternoon, travel by subway to the Red Cross Research Institute and see how venom is extracted from some of the world’s deadliest snakes.
Day 4 BANGKOK
After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to see the Floating Markets of Damnoen Saduak, where you can organise your lunch. This afternoon, attend a Thai cultural show and handicrafts demonstration before returning to Bangkok.
Day 5 KANCHANABURI
Depart Bangkok after breakfast for Kanchanaburi Province, the scene of much POW suffering during World War II. Visit the Bridge on the River Kwai, travel a short stretch by train along the Death Railway, and walk through the allied war cemeteries.
Day 6 KANCHANABURI
This morning, visit Hellfire Pass, which was chiseled out of the rock by allied POWs. This afternoon, enjoy an elephant trek through the jungle.
Day 7 AYUTHAYA
Depart Kanchanaburi province for the former Siamese royal capital of Ayuthaya this morning. Visit the temples and ruins in the Unesco World Heritage Historical Park. Spend time in the Historical Study Centre before transferring to your accommodation in the evening.
Day 8 SUKHOTHAI
After breakfast, travel to Sukhothai. Visit the Historical Park, which contains temple ruins, dating back to the 13th century when the city was the capital of Siam. Transfer to your accommodation after your visit.
Day 9 - 11 CHIANG MAI
After breakfast, travel to the Pang Soong Lodge and begin your community aid experience.
Students participate in Chuay Duay community development projects, which could involves:
teaching English in local schools, assisting in the development of community tourism facilities, environmental projects such as reforestry.
Day 12 CHIANG MAI
After breakfast, depart the Maekok River for Chiang Mai. Visit Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang this morning. After lunch, visit the Chiang Mai National Museum. At the end of the day enjoy an evening’s retail therapy at the famous Night Bazaar.
Day 13 CHIANG MAI - BANGKOK
Visit the Tribal Museum this morning before transferring to the airport for your flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival, settle in at your accommodation. After dinner, explore the tàlàat yen or evening market.
Day 14 BANGKOK
After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to Safari World, the largest open zoo in the world. Spend the day observing a huge range of animals in natural settings. Return to Bangkok in the afternoon.
Day 15 BANGKOK
This morning, transfer to the airport for your return flight.
Day 1
Pick up Chiang Mai airport ( morning flight ) and check-in at the hotel in the town.
In the afternoon visit Doi Suthep, 300 metres above Chiang Mai with it’s very auspicious and beautiful temple and enjoy the wonderful views across the city. Visit Chedi Luang which is another important temple in Chiang Mai.
In the evening enjoy a Khan Toke dinner accompanied by traditional Thai dancing.
Day 2
Leave the hotel for Mae Sa Elephant Camp. Visit the elephant nursery , watch elephants at work and enjoy an elephant ride. After lunch visit the Sankhampeng Handicraft Centre. This has given a great employment opportunity to the local people as well as maintaining handicraft skills. Dine at a lovely riverside restaurant and then visit the famous Night Bazaar.
Day 3
Visit the Morning Market. and learn about local products and enjoy the busy bustling scenes.
Board minibuses at the market and depart for Chiang Dao Caves.
These impressive caves are the biggest in the area, learn about the caves as well as something about Buddhism.
Arrive at the Maekok River Village Resort and after dinner enjoy some evening activities led by our instructors.
Day 4
A day of fun team challenges and activities which could include raft building andjungle survival skills. In the evening, learn the basics of archery and or climbing.
Day 5
As a way of getting to know more about the local area, a treasure hunt will take students to a whole range of different places where they will need to collect certain things or carry out set tasks all of which reflect the culture and history of the area. In the late afternoon, undertake a three dish Thai cookery course. Following dinner, students will be challenged on the confidence course.
Day 6
After breakfast embark onto long-tailed boats for the 80 km journey to Chiang Rai. On the way there will be an opportunity to stop at places of interest such as riverside hilltribe villages.
(There would be an option here for an overnight stay at a hilltribe village). Check into a city centre hotel and after dinner visit the night market and watch a cultural show.
Day 7
Leave for Doi Tung ser high above the Chiang Rai valley where the King Rama 9th’s mother used to live. After visiting the beautiful gardens, carry on to the Golden Triangle where the 3 countries of Thailand, Burma and Laos meet. After lunch visit the impressive Hall of Opium museum, and if time take a boat trip on the Mae Khong River and make a brief visit to Laos and visit local market. Return to the hotel for a ‘farewell dinner’.
Day 8
Transfer to the airport for a flight to Bangkok.
