Students from as far away as the Middle East, Taiwan, China and Australia, as well as within Thailand, have used our facilities and expertise to cover aspects of these awards.
Many groups have undertaken their Bronze and Silver expeditions here, and several others have undertaken Gold award practice, as well as actual expedition..
Doi Fha Hom Phok National Park is located nearby and within the park it is feasible to carry out a two, three or four day expedition which could include summiting Fha Hom Phok, which at 2385 metres, is Thailand’s second highest mountain. We have also developed Adventurous Journeys which involves students in hiking, cycling, kayaking and elephant trekking with overnight camps and bivouacs between.
The degree of support both technical and logistical is up to the visiting school, but we can provide any level of support request. For example, some schools will bring all their own equipment, whilst others will hire tents, sleeping bags and stoves for a modest fee.
In addition to expedition phases, groups have also carried out community project work whilst staying with us. Indeed several schools have made trips which combine both the expedition phase and a community project, all within the idyllic and exotic north of Thailand.
